Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I want to know about the echocardiography report of my mother. It says regional wall motion abnormality. Dilated LV cavity, moderate left ventricular systolic dysfunction with reduced diastolic compliance. No pulmonary arterial hypertension. Please explain.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Does she have diabetes or hypertension? Does she have any history of heart attack or angina? Please tell me what medicines is she taking? There is an abnormality in the echo (echocardiogram).

Patient's Query

Hellod doctor,

No, she is not diabetic patient and she does not have a history of heart attack or hypertension.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I would suggest to her the following medicines. Take Tablet Aspirin 75 mg once a day, Tablet Rosuvastatin 10 mg once a day, Tablet Empagliflozin 10 mg once a day, Tablet Sacubitril or Valsartan 24 or 25 mg twice a day and Tablet Bisoprolol 2.5 mg once a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent. Avoid these drugs in case of pregnancy and breast feeding.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Does she have any serious problem?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Her echo (echocardiogram) shows dilated left ventricular and reduced function to 43 %. This occurs in a heart attack, heart muscle inflammation, and many other causes. Some forms are reversible, and some are irreversible. She should have stress or rest myocardial perfusion imaging (SPECT MPI) done to see inducible and reversible ischemia and plan for angioplasty or medicines accordingly.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
