Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I want to know about the echocardiography report of my mother. It says regional wall motion abnormality. Dilated LV cavity, moderate left ventricular systolic dysfunction with reduced diastolic compliance. No pulmonary arterial hypertension. Please explain.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Does she have diabetes or hypertension? Does she have any history of heart attack or angina? Please tell me what medicines is she taking? There is an abnormality in the echo (echocardiogram).
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your reply.
No, she is not diabetic patient and she does not have a history of heart attack or hypertension.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I would suggest the following medicines to her. Take a tablet of Aspirin 75 mg once a day, a tablet of Rosuvastatin 10 mg once a day, a tablet of Empagliflozin 10 mg once a day, a tablet of Sacubitril or Valsartan 24 or 25 mg twice a day, and a tablet Bisoprolol 2.5 mg once a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medicines with their consent. Avoid these drugs in case of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your reply.
Does she have any serious problem?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Her echo (echocardiogram) shows dilated left ventricular and reduced function to 43 percent. This occurs in a heart attack, heart muscle inflammation, and many other causes. Some forms are reversible, and some are irreversible. She should have stress or rest myocardial perfusion imaging (SPECT MPI) done to see inducible and reversible ischemia and plan for angioplasty or medicines accordingly.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
