Is it okay to take nutritional supplements?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Is it right to take different types of nutritional supplements if we cannot get a satisfactory amount of nutrients from food? How long can we take these supplements, and will it cause any troubles in the future?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Yes, you can take nutritional supplements. But at your age, I will recommend focusing on healthy foods for nutrition rather than supplements. It is better to avoid for a longer duration or get done with blood reports first to know the levels of nutrients and then take supplements.

Thank you.
