What causes vomiting and stomach pain post-periods?

Hi doctor,

I have had vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain every time after the periods. I always vomit after having food. What could be the reason? Kindly help.

I understand your concern.

There might be some hormone that is disturbing your abdomen and responding by vomiting and diarrhea. How long have you been on antacids? The acidity might be a responding to menstrual hormones. I would suggest the following:

Have cold milk before going to bed and right after getting up.
Include vegetables and fruits in your diet.
Do regular exercise.
Maintain a healthy BMI (body mass index).
Consult with a doctor for other health-related issues as well.
Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg thrice for five days.
