Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 15 year old female and have noticed irregularities in my periods. It is already late for over a week, but i have cramps even though i am not on my periods. I have also got tested for pregnancy, and it is negative. Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Delays and irregularities in the menstrual cycle among females are common conditions these days due to lifestyle changes. A delay of up to one week (up to 10 days) is considered normal if it occurs once or twice in a year and there is no underlying disease. Generally, it can be caused due to pregnancy, stress, sudden weight loss, being overweight, doing too much exercise, contraceptive pills, endometriosis, and hormonal imbalance during sexual activity. I advise you to follow the below-mentioned instructions.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
