Patient's Query
Hello doctors.
I was with a friend and it turned out he had corona. I sat like for 20 minutes or maybe more with him. Anyways the second day he turned out to be positive to the virus. I did the corona test 9 days later. And it turned out to be negative. But a day before doing the test I lost all sense of smell and taste till today. I do not have any other symptoms. How do I know if I have the virus even if it turned out to be negative.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Merely being in contact with the affected, does not mean you will get COVID19. If you had followed all precautions, the transmission may not have happened. Loss of taste, smell can also occur with other respiratory illnesses caused by other viruses and bacteria. You could retest within another 15 days, till then please isolate or home quarantine.
Please do the following,
1. Diagnostic - Blood- CBC , CRP, LDH, Serum AST, ALT, creatinine within the next 7 days. RTPCR test for antigen detection with nasal and oropharyngeal swab as stated above.
2. Lifestyle,
A) Diet- Balanced diet, with high protein, mineral and vitamin. Consult a nutritionist.
B) Warm water- gargles, steam inhalation twice daily for 15 days.
C) Exercise and walk 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Medications such as,
T. Vitamin C 500mg 1 tablet twice daily for 15 days
T. Zinc 50mg 1 tablet thrice daily for 15 days
T. Vitamin D3 60000IU 1 cap once weekly for six weeks.
Please revert with the test reports and the reports of already done tests.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
