Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 21-years-old woman, having PCOD. I am on regular medication of Diane 35. I skipped the cycle for two days and had unprotected sex. After 12 hours, I continued taking Diane 35 for the rest three days, but it has been ten days of taking the tablet, and I am not getting periods. What should I do?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com,
I read your query and can understand your concern.
You have hormonal imbalance in the form of a polycystic ovary. You have already taken Diane 35 tablets to regulate cycles. I understand you missed in between. It also acts as a contraceptive for unprotected sex, as you can take it as an emergency pill.
You are taking the tablet Diane 35, which will stop withdrawal bleeding. So, you can stop any hormone you are taking and wait for bleeding. You can start Diane after your period starts.
To be safe, test your pregnancy status, which would be more likely negative, and you can do beta Hcg (blood pregnancy test).
Have a healthy diet, daily walking, a normal BMI (basal metabolic index), and a balanced weight. Have less salt, sugar, oil, and spice and more fruits, vegetables, and water in your diet.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
