Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

No, you cannot be color-blind to black or shades of grey. Congenital color blindness (patients have it since birth) can be one of three types. Firstly it can be protanopia which is colorblind to red and its shades.Next it can be deuteranopia that is to shades of green and lastly it can be tritanopia. To shades of blue. Acquired color blindness can be due to a variety of different factors like injuries, drug use, etc. They do not follow any rules like in congenital color blindness and can affect any spectrum of colors. Whatever the case, no one is blind to black or grey, and in fact, they see the colors they are blind to in shades of black and grey.
