Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have a 4 millimeters pituitary tumor. I need a answer as I have had a headache for one year (chronic pain nonstop) everything else has been ruled out besides temporomandibular joint. So now that we found the 4 millimeters tumor I know its small, but I believe it could be causing my headache and pain especially being as I have hormone issues my whole life. What do you think? My endocrinologist t disagree and that bothers me because I am suffering and need an answer. s I will die if I am left to suffer. I am already on Oxycodone but the pain stays. I need my pain gone. Is the pain being caused by the 4 millimeters tumor? I am being treated by Cabergoline. Will that shrink the tumor? Yes or no?
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.
Although it would be better if you had attached your magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reports. But from the medicines you are taking it appears that you have a microprolactinoma. Yes, sometimes it can give a headache, but Cabergoline helps in resolving this tumor non surgically. Just be patient for some more time as this will go away soon. Do not stress yourself over this as it will make the pain only worse. Try doing mind body relaxation or yoga for pain relief.
Thank you for consulting me.
