How can a patient with gastritis ease right-sided chest pain?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have pain in the right side of my chest, which is accompanied by neck pain. This pain extends to my back and waist. It increases at night and hurts if I try to move the right side of my body. For example, when I move my right hand, I feel a sharp pain in my chest. I was diagnosed with gastritis and low potassium and calcium levels, but the pain persists even after taking the medications. In addition, I get tired easily, and my heart rate has changed. I cannot lift items because it hurts my right chest, and there is some discomfort. I also have a blurred view and some slight on-and-off movements in my belly. What should I do?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It seems to be musculoskeletal pain from the attached images (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) due to the deficiency of vitamins and minerals, lack of exercise, and sitting and sleeping in the wrong posture. I suggest you do the following and take the suggested medications. Do neck, back, and shoulder exercises daily. Do deep breathing exercises daily. Take dates, beetroot, bananas, oranges, and citrus fruits regularly. Drink coconut water twice a week.

I suggest taking the tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg on an empty stomach. Take the tablet with a combination of Levo-carnitine, Methylcobalamin, and Folic acid) daily for three to five days. Take the tablet with Ferrous fumarate, Folic acid, Cyanocobalamin, and Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate) for 12 weeks. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Please revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
