What could be the reason for a burning sensation in the testicles after oral sex?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am suffering from burning testicles after having oral sex. My partner was STD-free and has been tested. She was on PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis). There is no redness, swelling, or discharge out of the penis.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is not STD. It could be a fungal infection in the groin. Keep the area dry, and apply anti-fungal powder if possible. Use Candid (Clotrimazole) powder.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I will get the fungal powder and buy new work pants since I have not washed them in a month or two, and wear them nine hours a day and sweat in them.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, sweatpants can be the reason for fungal infection. If it does not heal well, I will prescribe one oral antifungal medicine. Can you send me a picture of your ball so I can better understand?

Thank you.
