Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My ultrasound report revealed a bulky uterus, thickened endometrium, and right ovarian cyst with thin internal septation. What does this suggest?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
I have gone through your case and I understand your concern. In every menstrual cycle, a layer of cells forms in the uterus and sheds off during menstruation, this repeats in every cycle, as you had your last menstruation that is why that layer got thickened (endometrial layer) because there was no shedding in between. It would have been better if I would have seen the USG report. If the cyst is less than 3 cm then no need to worry about that, also no intervention is needed, but you should see whether the size of the cyst is increasing or not. If that size increases then some intervention is needed.
I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
