Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had trouble breathing for more than ten years. I used to smoke and worked in construction for a year and inhaled a lot of dust. I used to play saxophone but noticed I could not blow anymore, and my lung capacity was not the same. I take Zyprexa now. I got a CT scan of my chest. Can you tell me the results since I just got the images?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your query and concern.
I understand that you have been having breathing problems for quite some time, and now it seems to have deteriorated. I have seen all the attached images (attachments are hidden to protect the patient's identity) of your CT (computed tomography) chest. Firstly, please note that these images are given only for reference and are neither appropriate nor adequate for making a medical or radiological evaluation. So you should try to upload the full set of DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) images so that we can provide you with a comprehensive evaluation. Having said that, the images that you have provided reveal no significant finding. The lungs look well-aerated, well-inflated, with no focal or diffuse lesion. So, perhaps, your lungs do not have any infection, hemorrhage, fibrosis, tumor, etc. There are no detectable lesions related to your occupational exposure, either. The breathing problems you have been having will now be called functional and can be handled as such by respiratory specialists. I think that is a basic outline of what your CT has revealed, and I will be glad to provide you with a full report if you would upload the DICOM set.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Best wishes.
