Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been having difficulty breathing for the last four months. My CT scan, pulmonary function test, and x-ray reports are normal. My immunoglobulin E value is very high. I have been smoking from starting of this year. My breathing problem is deteriorating. There is no sneezing, nor any cold, nor watery eyes.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
As you mentioned, your reports were normal. This could be allergies like dust or pollen, or smoke. So when we get in contact, it triggers asthma, and breathing difficulties occur.
For now, take a Salbutamol (Ventolin) inhaler two to three puffs when you feel difficulty in breathing. Other treatments include steroids and mast cell stabilizers. But for that, I need the complete history.
It will be better if you attach your reports.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I do feel weakness. I feel the same difficulty with my mouth as well. It never happened before nor in my family.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
There are changes in your lung volumes. The capacity has decreased. And there is a small, tiny fibrotic nodule in the lower left lung. So that has to be monitored regularly. Check if it is increasing or not. Because sometimes it can spread. So a regular check-up is needed. Do not take Salbutamol because that is short-acting. I suggest:
Deep breathing exercises should be done. If you feel the same or have difficulty breathing, please go to a nearby clinic because we have to give oxygen to patients in some cases.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
