Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have examined my blood test. My fasting blood sugar is 137.2 mg/dL, and Hb1c is 7 %, total cholesterol is 254 mg/dL, and triglycerides are 251 mg/dL. I am experiencing dry mouth and excessive thirstiness. I am taking Glycipage once a day and a tablet of Rosovas.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
You have diabetes and dyslipidemia. Your sugar and cholesterol levels are high. I agree with the medicines you have started Glyciphage G1 (Glimepiride and Metformin) and Rosuvas (Rosuvastatin). Diet, exercise, and weight loss are very important. Since starting the medicines, are the symptoms of excessive thirst and dry mouth better? I suggest repeating the following blood tests after one month,
I also notice vitamin D to be low, and it is best to take a vitamin D supplement. Your uric acid level is high, and this will get better with lifestyle changes. Triglycerides will also get better. If not, it is best to take Rosuvas-D (Rosuvastatin and vitamin D3) after three months.
Hope this information will help you. Let me know if you have more questions in mind.
Regards.
