Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have a bump on my feet, and under the skin, there is water in it. I am currently treating it with Combiderm.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
As per the history and image provided (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), it may be infected friction blisters. Friction blisters appear due to multiple factors, including ill-fitting or right shoes, repeated rubbing of feet against footwear, due to exposure to an allergen leading to the formation of blisters under feet. The yellow fluid present in the blisters is a sign of infection and needs to be treated with oral and topical antibiotic medication. My advice. Apply Fucidin (Sodium Fusidate) creams thrice daily to the affected area for four weeks. Take Tablet Augmentin 625 mg twice daily after food for five days (this is an antibiotic tablet, and you need to make sure there is no history of allergies to antibiotics before taking the tablet, in case of a history of allergies, avoid the tablet). Take Tablet Pantop 40 mg twice daily before food for five days to avoid acidity. Avoid wearing poor-fitting shoes or footwear, and avoid any allergens you may have a reaction to. Ensure to use soft footwear. Avoid breaking the blister at home. Soaking feet in lukewarm salt water at home for five minutes once daily can help with better healing of the blisters. Cleaning the area with any antibacterial soap (Zyndet bar soap) twice daily is advised before applying the Fucidin (Sodium Fusidate) cream mentioned above. I would also like to advise an in-person consultation with a doctor in case of severe discomfort and pain, where the doctor may do a swab testing of the fluid in the blister for culture and sensitivity to find the bacteria and the antibiotic which is sensitive to the infected bacteria. I hope it could be of help. Stay happy, healthy, and safe.
