How can I reduce enlarged pores, blackheads, and pimples?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have prominent enlarged pores, blackheads, small pimples, uneven skin tone, comedones, and bumps on my skin. My pores are very oily, especially in the nose area, and I have a lot of blackheads there too.

Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

At your age, individuals most often face such issues. However, you need not panic, as there are effective treatment options available to reduce oiliness and pore size.

  1. You should use sunscreen with a matte finish and a minimum SPF (sun protection factor) of 30 or above.
  2. I suggest you consult with a specialist and start applying Tretinoin 0.025 percent cream with their consent, only a pea-sized volume, daily in the evening for four hours.
  3. Wash it off with water and apply a moisturizer.
  4. Eat a diet rich in vitamins A and C.

I hope this has helped you.

Please feel free to reach out to me again if you have further queries.

Thank you.
