Hello,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern.

I have reviewed the picture (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity). If there was unprotected sex, one should consider the possibility of a sexually transmitted infection. The following tests are recommended:

  1. TPHA (Treponema Pallidum Hemagglutination) test.
  2. Human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test.
  3. Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) one and two IgG (immunoglobulin G).
  4. Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) one and two IgM ((immunoglobulin M) serum.
  5. Chlamydia Trachomatis IgG test.
  6. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) one and two antibodies screening test.
  7. HbsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen) test.
  8. Urine complete.

If the situation does not involve unprotected sex, it could be a simple bacterial infection. In such cases, I suggest using Mupirocin ointment for local application and taking Doxy (Doxycycline) 100 mg tablets twice a day for five days. If you experience itching, consider the possibility of a fungal infection. For this, you can apply Candid B (a combination of Clotrimazole and Beclometasone) ointment locally and take a Cetirizine tablet once at night for itching relief. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take the medicines with their consent. Make sure to wash your genitalia twice a day, in the morning and at night, using normal water (avoid using extremely cold or hot water). Also, refrain from using heavily pH-balanced soap.

I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.

Thank you.
