Is there any medicine to increase the size of my head?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old girl, and I am 5.7 feet tall. My head circumference is 20.8 inches, and only 6 inches long. As you probably understand from those facts, my head is extremely small. Compared to my body, my head looks tiny. It also looks small when compared to other girls who are my age.

Though my head is small, I do not have any other health problems.

  1. I was wondering, is there anything I can take or any methods I should try to increase my head size?
  2. Is there any possible way to get a bigger head?
  3. I am not disabled, and I do not have mental or physical problems. Any tips or help that you could give me to help increase my head size would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have a few questions for you as follows.

  1. At what age did you start getting your period?
  2. Have you ever had any hormonal evaluation?
  3. Does anyone in your family (mother, sister, or aunts) have a similar problem?

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

My first period was at 14 years. My dad has a slightly smaller head, so it is hereditary. I have never undergone a hormone evaluation either. Is there anything at all that can be done? Anything I could take? Any exercises to try?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Since you do not have any medical history, and you say your dad also has similar features, that makes it hereditary. Unfortunately, we do not have any medicines to increase the size of the head. I would suggest you take it in your stride and stop worrying about it. Your overall health is normal, and that is what we all strive for.

I hope this helps.

Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
