Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have lower back pain. It is like sharp pain whenever I move or breathe too quickly. I also feel very bloated and it feels like I have gas in my stomach but the pain is intolerable and is nothing like I have ever experienced with stomach gas. It is hard to move or sit down and now the pain is slowly moving to my leg as well. I am having problems breathing because of the pain in the lower spine. I am currently on antidepressants.

Please help. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms of lower back pain aggravated with different postures, I propose you have developed spondylitis. To rule out abdominal colic please do a spinal x-ray or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) for confirmation.

I suggest you take the following medications. Consult your doctor and take the medications only with their consent.

  1. Tablet Acetaminophen 500 mg thrice daily.
  2. Tablet Diclofenac 100 mg twice daily.
  3. Capsule Piroxicam 40 mg once daily.
  4. Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg thrice daily.
  5. Tablet Simethicone 180 mg twice daily.
  6. Tablet Hyoscine Butyl bromide 10 mg twice daily.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
