Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a doubt. My husband often gets sudden rashes and feels cold. Could this be caused by some kind of allergy? He also experiences sneezing and coughing, which might be related. Does he need an allergy test? Could uncontrolled asthma cause this, too? I have heard that fungi and bacteria can cause allergies, so could it be due to that? Is there any antifungal treatment he should try for his cold and rashes? How can I find out if a pathogenic fungus is causing this?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Your husband is suffering from an unknown allergy. To know the causative agent of the allergy, he should undergo allergy tests. Simultaneously, you can also try to identify the trigger, if it is cold, hot, water, or some other foreign material contact, after which this episode happens. In asthma, breathing is difficult, so you can identify if it happens. You can also take antiallergic medicine to reduce symptoms. Management is to identify the cause and prevent its exposure.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Regards.
Thank you.
