Hello doctor,
I had an ablation done a week ago and have irregular heart rhythms. I can see my heart rhythm on my electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor, and I can send the images. I did not mention that I have supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), but I want to know if it is normal to have this rhythm after surgery. It seems I am getting it more frequently. On the ECG, it just looks like the first beat is inverted. I would just like to know if that is completely normal. Should I consult a doctor? Is it something serious? Please help.

From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), I can see that your heart rate is normal. Only these few complexes look odd, but they are probably artifactual defects because the heart rate is the same. Moreover, handheld devices are unreliable, so I suggest you get an electrocardiogram (ECG) done. Sometimes, ectopic beats might occur after ablation, but they will resolve in a few weeks. Sometimes, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) recurs due to incomplete ablation.

Should I go to the hospital to get an electrocardiogram (ECG) done? I cannot even feel some beats in my chest, but I can feel some beats in my neck. I have episodes where I cannot feel my heart rhythm for a minute. Sometimes, my heart beats so strongly that I can feel it all over my body.
