Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am in my late thirties and I have hyperthyroidism and hypertension. Whenever I have biryani or oily and spicy food my left arm and fingers start aching. There is no chest pain. Once I throw up, the pain reduces. I got ECG, EKG, and chest x-ray done twice over the last 30 days since I panicked about what caused the pain other than eating. Currently, I am taking the tablet Metoprolol and the tablet Methimazole. Please help me.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Since your ECG and chest X-ray are normal (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity), and only left arm and fingers pain, you can take the following medications:
1. The tablet Pantoprazole twice daily after meals.
2. The syrup Sucralfate 10 ml thrice daily after meals.
Take these medications for five days and review.
If possible get a Treadmill test done to rule out any cardiac problems.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
It will take me some months to get the cardiologist's appointment as it is not easily available here. Walking for one hour at my home is not causing me any trouble. However, I will check out as you said once I meet my cardiologist. Is there anything that can improve the condition?
Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
