Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 19 years old, not overweight, and have no known conditions except severe anxiety. However, I have had a pounding pulse sensation in my head. For example, I feel a strong pulsing in my head when I run upstairs. Also, my ears randomly get hot and red. What could this be? I had CBC, glucose, and kidney tests, and everything was normal. I am also not anemic or diabetic. Should I be concerned? Is this nothing except anxiety?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Pulsating feelings in your head can be a part of certain kinds of headaches like migraine or tension-type, or even temporal arthritis occasionally. But you have not mentioned any associated headache, tinnitus, dizziness, or breathlessness.
It might just be only due to anxiety which can be reduced by avoiding stressful factors. So the next thing to be done is to get checked by a neurologist, as coming to a final diagnosis for your problem cannot be done without examination.
Feel free to contact us anytime for your further queries.
Hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
