Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am experiencing persistent vaginal itching today, and home remedies have not been effective. I have also had white discharge for a long time.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Thanks for reaching out with iCliniq. I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you're paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry, I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed a persistent vaginal infection caused by possible Trichomonas vaginalis. May I ask what the colour of the discharge is? Any associated lower abdominal pain, pain during urination, or sex? Please do a high vaginal and endo cervical swab test and reply to me with the result, Also I can see you have developed anxiety and depression. May I ask if you had any domestic challenges in the family, school, spouse, or at the workplace, or any previous abuse in the past? Are you on any pills for depression or anxiety? Please share this information, as this may be partially linked to your vagina infection. Please take the following:
Injection Ceftriaxone 1 gram start, then two tablets Doxycycline 100 mg (milligrams) orally for two weeks.
Take two tablets of Metronidazole 400 mg (milligrams) orally thrice for two weeks.
Take a tablet of Escitalopram 10 mg orally once a day for one week.
Take a tablet of Sertraline 50 mg orally once a day for one week.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
