Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I smoked hookah for the first time, and my throat started hurting the next day badly. Yesterday the throat pain stopped, but I have been continuously coughing and sneezing. The coughing hurts very badly. It burns. I have been a regular smoker for the past four years. I also got a severe asthmatic attack two years back because of an animal allergy, so I have not been around animal hair for the past two months. The coughing is continuous and does not stop, and I have a cold, runny nose, and fever. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. By your history and description possibility of acute allergic bronchitis is more likely. I suggest, 1. Allegra M (Montelukast and Fexofenadine), morning and night (after food). 2. AB-Flo-N (Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine) tablet, morning and night (after food). 3. Nexpro RD 40 capsules (Esomeprazole and Domperidone), morning and night (before food). 4. Syrup Aerodil expectorant (Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Terbutaline) 10 mL thrice daily before food. 5. All for five days. 6. Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation four to five times a day. I hope you find it helpful. Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
