Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have noticed signs of distress in my 12-year-old child, and I am worried about the possibility of ADHD. I am very much depressed, and it has become increasingly challenging to provide the support and care my child needs. I want advice on treatment options for my child dealing with ADHD and any associated mental health concerns. He makes a lot of errors and does not listen to me. Why?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your query and concern.
Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist.
I can understand your problem and concern about your child. You must give her medication to deal with her ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) if she is diagnosed by a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist. You cannot treat her without medication. There are many medication options to deal with her. You can give her Risperidone, Fluoxetine, Axepta (Atomoxetine), etc. But you must give her medication under your nearest psychiatrist's observation or prescription.
I hope that you get my point.
Please let me know if you want some help.
Thank you.
