Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been suffering from pancreatitis since yesterday. I took the medicines prescribed to me last year while discharged from the hospital. I intake semi-solid foods orally, but I still have pain. I did not consult that doctor till now. Please suggest it to me.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
I would like to know a bit more about your problem.
It would help if you would kindly upload your ultrasound, X-ray, CT (computed tomography) scan, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), endoscopy report, any blood or other test reports and old hospital records, details of previous surgery(s), and hospital discharge summary if any.
Then I can help you better, in making an informed decision regarding further therapy options available and also about how to choose and why to choose which option.
Also kindly answer the following:
How bad is your pain?
How many points out of 10?
Does it go to the back?
Number of vomitings?
If pain is severe and going towards the back then visit the emergency of a good hospital at the earliest. It could be a repeat attack of pancreatitis.
You can take:
1. Tablet Pantop is 40 milligrams right now.
2. Tablet Ultracet (Tramadol 37.5 milligrams and Paracetamol 325 milligrams) one tablet right now if the pain is severe. This is a sedative. Do not drive or use fast-moving machinery.
3. Avoid high-fat meals.
Hope it helps.
Follow up with your hospital records.
Thank you for consulting me.
You can always come back and reach me at icliniq.com.
