Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I need your help as my face is getting worst day by day. I can not understand whether it is an allergy or due to some internal issue. Kindly help me to cure my acne. I had taken many medicines previously but did not get any benefit. I am using Panderm plus cream currently.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have reviewed your picture (attachments removed to protect patient privacy). It seems you have acne vulgaris with acneiform eruptions due to the use of Panderm plus, which contains steroids as one of the ingredients. Acne Vulgaris is a common skin problem in adolescents and young adults. It involves pilosebaceous follicles or oil glands. Hence it is seen to involve areas where oil glands are dense like the face, chest, back, and upper arms. Your case looks like grade one to grade two acne. Your facial skin color is normal and have very few spots. I suggest you start using Faceclin gel (Clindamycin topical 1 percent w/w, Nicotinamide 4 percent w/w) during day time over the pimples and Microbenz 3.5% gel (Benzoyl peroxide-3.5 percent w/w) at night hour over the entire face for around two to three months. You can keep your face clean by using an appropriate face wash. You can avoid or limit oily and spicy food, junk food, milk products, and non-vegetarian food. Keep your skin hydrated by drinking ample water.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
