Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 21-year-old female and I have had many problems concerning my skin during my teenage years. I have had pimples and acne issues which would leave dark purple-like spots. I was prescribed antibiotics during my adolescence and it calmed down. However, I still had to deal with regular and random big pimples from time to time. I normally have oily skin. I recently was in India and a dermatologist whom I visited there prescribed me Epiduo gel, Kojic cream, Maxrich Yu cream, and vitamins. However, none of them worked. Epiduo made me have eczema constantly and I had to stop using it. Currently, I am using only Fucidin cream on my pimples. But, I keep on having big pimples which are leaving a lot of purple spots. Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for writing and I understand your concern.
I have seen the pictures you have attached (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity) and it seems that you have acne vulgaris with acne scars.
I would suggest you take tablet Azibact (Azithromycin) 500 mg three consecutive days a week, use Cleargel(Clindamycin and Nicotinamide) gel local application during the morning, and use Ahaglow facewash twice daily. Kindly avoid oily, spicy, and junk foods
Hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor.
Thank you for your reply.
For how long should I be doing this treatment? Should I take Azibact for 3 days only?
These two medicines are not available in my country. Can I use other products with the same composition?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Tablet Azibact for three consecutive days a week for four weeks. Yes, you can use substitutes for these medicines.
Hope this information helps you.
