Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have successfully managed to reduce the occurrence of pimples and now only experience one per week or even less. However, I am struggling with getting rid of the acne marks left by acne in the past. I would like to know if these marks are treatable or not, as I would like to achieve clear skin. Please give your suggestions.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Based on your clinical history, it appears that your main concern is acne scars. For acne scars, multiple treatments are available such as Trichloroacetic acid chemical reconstruction of skin scars (TCA CROSS), micro-needling, microneedle radiofrequency (MNRF), carbon dioxide (CO2) laser treatment, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment. The choice of treatment depends on the severity of your acne scars. These are in-office procedures, and a combination of two or more of them can be beneficial in your case. With proper execution, acne scar procedures can yield approximately 60 to 80 percent improvement. At home, you can consume more vitamin C-rich foods and incorporate a serum containing retinol into your daily skincare routine. However, it is important to note that the results achieved from at-home treatments may be more limited compared to the professional procedures mentioned earlier.

I hope this helps you out.

Thanks and regards.
