Should I stop taking the Escitalopram, Olanzapine, and Pregabalin tablets as they have affected my nervous system instead of treating acidity?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My gastroenterologist prescribed tablet Escitalopram, Pregabalin sustained-release Methylcobalamin tablets, and the tablet Olanzapine for acidity, but all these medicines have affected my nervous system. I experience dizziness and do not take an interest in whatever happens in my surroundings. How can these tablets affect my stomach? I have body pain after taking these tablets. Should I stop taking them?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

These medicines control anxiety, depression, and neuropathic pain, while Methylcobalamin is a vitamin used for nerve-related illnesses. Did your physician do gastroduodenoscopy or any other diagnostic procedure to detect gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulceration, or gastritis? If so, please attach the reports. Do you have any history of other diseases?
