Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my C-section ten months ago, and I am a breastfeeding mother. I have conceived again. Can I take abortion pills?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

First of all, breastfeeding mothers are less likely to get pregnant because of hormonal changes. In breastfeeding mothers, hormonal changes can cause false-positive urine pregnancy tests. So my suggestion is first to confirm this pregnancy by ultrasound. Taking MTP (medical termination of pregnancy) pills without pregnancy can be harmful.

I will be happy to help you further.

I wish you good health.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

My pregnancy test is positive, and I also have pregnancy symptoms. Can I take abortion pills?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Without ultrasound confirmation, you should not start abortion pills as they can harm you.

Kindly follow up in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
