Can Xarelto increase AST and ALT?

Hi doctor,

I am taking Xarelto 20 mg daily for DVT from the past four weeks. My blood work shows increased AST, which is double than normal, and ALT, which is triple than normal. Should I take today's dose? I take a lot of medicines for different health conditions. I have attached the photo of my prescription.

What could be the reason for an increase in eosinophils?

Hello doctor,

I had a severe cough seven months back and lasted for a long time. During that period a severe pain started in my left shoulder and neck and still, it is persisting. The doctor used to give me a painkiller and it subsided for some period and then again it started. I stopped taking any tablet further carrying the pain daily. I read some article stating due to viral infection such problems can occur. So I did a blood test on my own and there we observed eosinophils count 11 (range is 0.0 to 6.0) and absolute count 0.83X10^3/uL (0 to 0.5), MCHC 30.8, RDW-SD 49.3, RDWCV 14.6, PDW 8.3, PLCR 12.8. How do I investigate further the reason for an increase in eosinophils? Please note I had continuous sneezing and mucous formation in the nose. I had been operated for polyps as well but even today I cannot smell. I am unable to understand what to do and how should I get rid of these health issues and what corrective measures I should take. Currently, I am taking Hetrazan100, Neurokind and Vitamin D3 tablet once a week.

What could be done to manage anemia and G6PD deficiency?

Hi doctor,

My son is G6PD deficient. He is already 10 months old. We have been having CBC since the first month and the result is somehow close. In his latest result, just taken yesterday, RBC is 4.09 (unit:x10^6/μL), hemoglobin is 112 (g/L), hematocrit is 0.33 (L/L) and WBC is 12000 x10^9/μL). Differential count: neutrophil is 0.46 (normal range: 0.50 to 0.70) while monocyte is 0.12 (normal range: 0.01 to 0.06). He had fever yesterday that triggered us for another CBC test, though he is alright now. He only had fever twice, first was when he had colds.

I am worried about his anemia which started in as early as one month. We have been taking iron supplements but no significant development, so we decided to stop for one month now worrying about iron overload. We are really careful of his food intake and to avoid triggers since he is deficient of G6PD. What can you advice to cure his anemia?

But now I am having throat pain too with fever. Please guide me what is happening with me. Is there something serious about my lymphocytes count that is high?
