Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I do not know why the wound on my nose is not healing yet. It was just a blackhead, which did not heal after I popped it. I put an ointment prescribed by my doctor. However, it seems to be infected. I put only virgin coconut oil. I am afraid that is already a cancer. I am 44 years old, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs123.46 pounds. Please help.

Thank you.

Based on the picture sent (attachments removed to protect patient identity), I believe you have developed a skin malignancy based on the color change noticed. I recommend doing a punch biopsy and sent for cytology. Please take the following medication:

1. Injection of Ceftriaxone (Cephalosporin) 1g once a day for ten days.

2. Tablet Metronidazole (antibiotic) 400 mg thrice daily for a week.

3. Capsule Co-Amoxiclav 625 mg (Amoxicillin 500 mg and Clavulanic acid 125 mg) twice daily for two weeks. Consult your doctor and take the medicines accordingly.

I hope this information helps provide some insight into your symptoms.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you.
