Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 51-year-old woman. In the last few months, I have been experiencing these intense hot flashes, and it is making my life unbearable. Am I expecting menopause? I have read about Fezolinetant and hormone replacement therapy, and I am wondering if either of these could provide some relief for these symptoms. Pleass there anything you can do to help me get through this difficult time associated with menopause? Would any lifestyle modifications help me?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Menopause is a stage when the hormones in your body are at a decreasing level, leading to various symptoms like hot flushes and nights with osteoporosis, making you more vulnerable to fractures. Apart from it, you may get heart problems and a chance of dryness of the vagina. Unless symptoms are very severe, you can have alternate therapy to reduce the effects of these postmenopausal effects.

First of all, to avoid osteoporosis, you should regularly take calcium in the form of milk, yogurt, yogurt etc. Secondly, you should have an active lifestyle, like doing exercise, yoga, or even a morning walk. At least one hour will keep you up to date, with an equal distribution of calcium in all of your bones. Thirdly, you should have a good nutritious diet with plenty of vitamin C and vitamin D in the form of sunlight, or you can have vitamin D capsules every month. These changes and supplements should reduce your hot flushes, and if you are not relieved, you can think of HRT (hormone replacement therapy).

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
