What are the measures to prevent colorectal cancer in someone with IBS?

Hello doctor,

I have been dealing with irritable bowel syndrome for some time now. I am a 52-year-old woman and have read about how bowel issues could lead to colorectal cancer, especially as I am on long-term antacids. Despite sticking to some strict diet restrictions, nothing is helping. I am worried about what might happen if this continues. Are there any additional measures I should take to lower the risk of developing colorectal cancer? Can you shed some light on how IBS can potentially lead to colorectal cancer, and what signs or symptoms I should look out for?

kindly help.

What to do if laxatives do not work in case of constipation?

Hello doctor,

I had a nephrotic syndrome and gastroparesis or lazy bowel syndrome for which I was on corticosteroids for a very long time. I was also chronically constipated since childhood. So I started using laxatives like Dulcoflex. I follow a very good fiber-rich diet and use probiotics, but now even Dulcoflex is not working and I think the overuse has caused this. My stomach is bloated and I am barely eating but feel full and sick all the time. I am using multiple things like Ayurvedic laxatives and Dulcoflex to pass the motion as I cannot operate if I do not clear. Please let me know if there is a solution to this.

Thank you.
