What are the causes of amebiasis?
Hello Doctor,
I am a 29-year-old female. Last year, in May 2023, I had amoebiasis, for which I took antibiotics for almost two weeks and post-medication medications. When I repeated stool tests, reports came back normal. But since then, I have started getting gut issues like excessive gas and stomach pain sometimes, with 1-2 motions a day. Certain foods make my condition worse, like peanuts, popcorn, makhana, and many more. Before amoebiasis, I never had any gut issues. I have health anxiety, and when I search for my symptoms online, it says colon cancer. I have been to many doctors, but they say it is most likely an IBS post-infection. Should I get a colonoscopy done? Please suggest.

What is the treatment for severe nasal congestion?
Hi doctor,
I am a 34-year-old breastfeeding mother to a 6-week-old baby. I had little nasal congestion during pregnancy, which got aggravated due to two to three episodes of acid reflux while sleeping at night when I was in the third trimester. This led to severe nasal congestion and post-nasal drip. A nasal endoscopy was done, which showed rhinitis features that could be allergic or non-allergic or from pregnancy hormones. I am eating Montair FX and using isotonic saline spray to alleviate the symptoms. What can I do to find quick relief?

Can unprotected vaginal sex without penetration lead to pregnancy?
Hello doctor,
I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend two weeks ago. However, there was no penetration; he ejaculated at the beginning, and later, after about an hour, he briefly rubbed the tip of his penis on my vaginal opening, which was already dried. Since that day, I have been feeling extremely stressed. Is there a possibility of pregnancy from this? I have read numerous articles on the internet, leaving me quite scared. Is there a risk of infection after getting blood drawn with contaminated gloves?
Hello doctor,
I recently had my blood drawn, and after the nurse wore gloves, she mistakenly disposed of them in the garbage. Unfortunately, the garbage was filled with dirty gloves, cotton, and sanitizer pads. She reached into the garbage without changing her gloves and proceeded to draw my blood. As a breastfeeding mom, I cannot help but worry about what happened. Two days later, I started experiencing flu-like symptoms and a dry mouth. I am unsure if it is due to overthinking, but I am concerned about the possibility of contracting HIV, Hepatitis B, or C from this incident. Please help.

A couple of weeks back, I took the a few blood tests that I have attached due to a bacterial food infection. I am fine now after the course of antibiotics.
