Can severe headache, body ache, and fever be due to a viral infection?
Hello doctor,
I am a 40-year-old male; yesterday, I got a severe headache with body aches and a fever. I am afraid of COVID-19 spreading nowadays. What can be done to protect me from such kinds of infections? I also had a severe nausea sensation and got a throat infection without a cold. I think it is due to over-body heat. Is this a viral infection or just a sickness due to weakness in my body?

What could cause wrinkly fingers?

I am a 24-year-old year old female. For the past couple of months, I have been experiencing wrinkly fingers on my right hand even when dry. I thought it was because of the skincare product that I applied with that hand but I have stopped using it for about a week. My fingers are still wrinkled and today began to peel when wet. There is no pain or itchiness.

How to treat severe allergic reaction after an antibiotic use?
Hello doctor,
Recently, I experienced my first allergic reaction to Clindamycin. I had been taking 300 mg capsules every six hours for five days, unaware of the potential allergic symptoms. The reaction manifested as insomnia, intense heat, and a red rash on my face, chest, upper arms, forearms, hands, knees, and feet. The rash intermittently flared up, becoming unbearably hot and red. Facial swelling in my sinuses contributed to a puffy appearance, accompanied by chills when the rash intensified, diarrhea, weakness, and joint pain in the affected areas, rendering me immobile.
Seeking medical attention, I visited the hospital, where I received an IV dose of 10 mg Dexamethasone, 25 mg Benadryl, and 20 mg Pepcid. The following night, I was prescribed Azithromycin as an alternative, which resulted in a quicker and more severe reaction with identical symptoms. Returning to the ER, I was administered similar medications. Presently, two days post-hospitalization, I am on a regimen of Benadryl every four hours, Prednisone, Pepcid, Amoxicillin for a prior tooth infection that led to antibiotic use, and Tylenol for pain. While the rash has improved, I remain profoundly unwell. I am wondering if there are additional interventions a doctor can undertake beyond the medications I am already taking. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

My mother is experiencing sleep apnea issues. She feels sleepy and becomes weak as her respiration is difficult. We have kept her on CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) for the last two days. I had my period for three days last month. I had protected sex after four days of my periods. He did not ejaculate and the condom did not tear off or break anything like that, just to be sure I took a contraceptive pill within 12 hours. I had bleeding after six days of it for three days. Now it is been more than a month, and I still have not gotten my period. When should I expect my period?
